Abstract
The project aims to develop a microsystem (i.e. a miniaturized system
comprising sensing, processing and/or actuating functions) that gives
real-time perceptual capabilities to the control of the vision system of a
binocular head. The outputs of two optical arrays (retinas) are processed
on-chip
through Gabor-like operators for determining a stereo
disparity signal to be used in a feedback loop for the control of the
vergence of a couple of higher resolution cameras.
